The Alliance of Mining Suppliers and Service Providers of Mali (AFOPREM) marked a milestone with its participation in the 2026 edition of Investing in African Mining Indaba. More than just a simple presence, the organisation presented a clear strategy aimed at positioning Malian companies as key players in the international mining value chain.
Created to represent and professionalise local suppliers, AFOPREM took advantage of the Cape Town event to showcase its members' expertise through a dedicated stand and a strategic side event, which generated high-value exchanges with international partners. These initiatives are part of a collective and organised approach, driven by the objective of building sustainable partnerships to support mining development in Mali.
The 2026 edition of Mining Indaba, held from 9 to 12 February at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, provided the ideal setting for transforming dialogue into concrete opportunities: targeted networking, B2B meetings and panels dedicated to strengthening local content and promoting African suppliers. AFOPREM was firmly committed to this approach, emphasising the creation of operational bridges between national and international players.
The Alliance's priorities are clear: strengthen local content, promote commercial dynamics among members, and open concrete channels with foreign investors and contractors — all with a view to making a sustainable contribution to Mali's economic growth.
