Cameroon doubles its revenue
As of October 31, 2022, the Cameroonian government has received CFAF 614.2 billion from the sale of oil and natural gas.
According to the National Hydrocarbons Company (SNH), "this amount is an increase of 91.03% compared to the same period last year. On this date, the national production of this year is 20.828 million barrels of oil (-2.82%) and 2002.09 million m3 of natural gas (+8.12%).
This 43.4% increase in oil revenues is mainly due to the rise in international oil and gas prices and the price of black gold.
According to data from the Ministry of Water and Energy (Minee), Cameroon exported 12 million m3 of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at the end of September 2022, compared to about 9335000 million m3 at the end of October 2021. The average monthly production in 2022 is up by almost 400 thousand m3 compared to 2021.
