Côte d'Ivoire : Saipem décroche un contrat de 400 millions de dollars

Saipem has announced that it has been awarded a drilling contract worth $400 million by the joint venture Eni Ivory Coast Ltd and Petroci offshore Ivory Coast. This value should be considered gross of the rental costs of the high-value drillship that will be used for the operations, Saipem said in a press release.

The contract includes the use of the seventh generation Deep Value Driller, one of the most modern drilling vessels in the world, for which Saipem has entered into a charter agreement with Deep Value Driller.

Through this contract, Saipem intends to strengthen the competitiveness of its fleet by drawing on its consolidated expertise in the selection and management of technologically advanced vessels.

Saipem also noted in the press release that the contract represents an important consolidation of Saipem's presence in Ivory Coast, a strategic area where the company is currently executing the Baleine oil and gas field development project.
