Egypt: Shell delivers the Stena Forth drillship for an exploration project offshore the country

La société de forage offshore Stena Drilling a signé un contrat avec Shell pour l’utilisation du navire de forage Stena Forth en Egypte.

The contract was signed with Shell's subsidiaries, BG Delta Limited and BG International Limited.

The Stena Forth is expected to begin operating for Shell in 2023, at the end of existing contractual commitments.

Trois puits seront forés en Méditerranée dans le cadre du projet d’exploration Shell. Le projet nécessitera un forage sous pression géré (MPD) utilisant le système détenu et installé par Stena Drilling sur le Stena Forth.

To note, oil majors Eni and Chevron announced on Sunday a new gas discovery in an Egyptian offshore field in the eastern Mediterranean. The rig used for the drilling was the Stena Forth.
