Ewoyaa: Atlantic Lithium's lithium project reaches a new milestone, an update to follow

Atlantic Lithium Ltd, the Africa-focused lithium exploration and development company, recently announced an updated JORC (2012) compliant Mineral Resource estimate for its flagship Ewoyaa lithium project in Ghana. This update establishes a volume of 36.8 million tonnes with an average feldspar grade of 41.9%.
- Updated JORC (2012) compliant MRE of 36.8 million tonnes at 41.9% feldspar.
- The feldspar MRE is based on the same geological model as the lithium (Li2O) mineral resource estimate of 36.8 million tonnes at 1.24% announced on 30 July 2024.
- The estimate includes 29.8 million tonnes (81%) in the measured and indicated categories, with :
- 3.7 million tonnes at 40.2% feldspar in the measured category,
- 26.1 million tonnes at 42.1% feldspar in the indicated category,
- 7.0 million tonnes at 42.4% feldspar in the inferred category.
- The resource upgrade is based on the initial estimate announced on 12 December 2023, which covered only the first five years of production.
- Quartz and muscovite have also been identified as potential by-products of spodumene concentrate production.
The definitive feasibility study (DFS), announced on 29 June 2023, takes into account the mining plan for the production of spodumene concentrate over the estimated 12-year life of the mine. This update underlines the strategic importance of the Ewoyaa project for the Ghanaian ceramics industry, through the supply of feldspar to the local market.
"We are pleased to announce an increase in the feldspar mineral resource estimate to 36.8 million tonnes at 41.9%. This increase reinforces our confidence in Ewoyaa's potential as a major source of feldspar in Ghana, as a by-product of spodumene production.
Atlantic Lithium intends to supply feldspar to the local Ghanaian ceramics market, contributing to the growth of the industry and the local economy. This new estimate incorporates feldspar production into the forthcoming revisions to the Ewoyaa project feasibility studies and into our commercialisation strategies."
With this updated estimate, Atlantic Lithium has positioned itself as a key player in the lithium and industrial minerals market in West Africa. The Ewoyaa project continues to demonstrate its potential as Ghana's first lithium mining site, while opening up opportunities for the ceramics sector through the exploitation of feldspar.
