Guinea: The country drops to 46th place in the ranking of the most attractive mining countries

Guinea has dropped to 46th place in the Fraser Institute rankings, 3 places lower than in 2021.the Guinean government implemented an effective and profitable policy between 2015 and 2020, which enabled it to occupy a good position in this ranking of the world's most attractive mining countries.

As a reminder, this West African country has risen from 103rd place to 20th place in 2020.

However, with the country's instability and the socio-political changes brought about by the last presidential election and the putsch in September 2021, investors are now in a state of upheaval.

As a result, bosses in this sector are complaining about the cumbersome bureaucracy of the mining department. Although the country was confronted with all these problems, it remains a major player in the African mining industry.

It should be noted that this ranking can vary according to various economic, political and social factors that evolve over time.
