With a total length of 5,660 kilometres, the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline is designed to link West Africa to Europe via Morocco, thus constituting an energy axis of global importance. Jingye Group, through its UK subsidiary Jingye British Steel, will provide advanced technical solutions, particularly for the most demanding segments of the route. Zhang Yuanyuan, deputy director of Jingye Group's international marketing department, said: "We will provide advanced and reliable materials based on our expertise in complex infrastructure.

Renowned for its contribution to emblematic projects such as Beijing Daxing International Airport and the Brunei Transoceanic Bridge, Jingye Group boasts proven expertise. Based in China's Hebei province, the group produces 15 million tonnes of steel a year and has a turnover of 13 billion dollars, while exporting its products to more than 127 countries.

The Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline initiative, launched in 2016 at the instigation of King Mohammed VI, is much more than an energy project. "It is a plan for peace, African economic integration and co-development for present and future generations", emphasised the Moroccan sovereign.

The pipeline is designed to supply African countries with energy, while enabling Europe to benefit from this strategic resource via the Maghreb-Europe gas pipeline. According to Malam Mele Kyari, Chairman of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), the project will cross several West African countries, including Benin, Togo, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea-Bissau, Gambia, Senegal and Mauritania, before reaching Morocco.

With a total investment estimated at $26 billion, the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline represents a colossal undertaking that could transform the region's energy and economic landscape. By teaming up with Jingye Group, the project has secured the participation of a global player renowned for its ability to deliver innovative solutions tailored to the challenges of modern infrastructure.

This collaboration embodies the spirit of partnership and international integration, consolidating the role of the Nigeria-Morocco gas pipeline as a vector for shared prosperity between Africa and Europe.
