L'Égypte conclut 108 accords pétroliers et gaziers avec des entreprises internationales

Egypt has signed 108 oil and gas exploration agreements with global companies over the past seven years worth at least $22 billion, revealed Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla in a speech at the Al-Ahram Energy Conference in December.

El-Molla said that 27 projects have been carried out for the development of natural gas fields in the last seven years, with investments estimated at $21 billion.

The country's average natural gas production reached 6.5 billion cubic feet per day, he noted.

The national household natural gas delivery project has recorded unprecedented rates, with delivery rates increasing to about 1.2 million customers per year in fiscal year 2021/2022, he said, adding that natural gas has been delivered up to 14 million units for the first time.

In addition, the Minister stated that up to 477,000 vehicles have been converted to run on natural gas.

The number of conversion centers has increased to 126 across the country and the number of gas stations to 862, he said.
