Mining Indaba: Change in management

The Minister of Minerals and Petroleum Resources, Gwede Mantashe, will represent South African President Cyril Ramaphosa at the "Investing in Mining in Indaba Africa" event, to be held in Cape Town on Monday. This change follows a change in the head of state's schedule, announced the South African presidency.
Gwede Mantashe will head the government delegation and deliver the opening speech in place of Ramaphosa. Indaba Mining is a major platform for stakeholders in the mining industry to discuss the prospects and future of the sector under the theme: "Preparing African Mining for the Future".
Since its inception in 1994, the event has become a must-attend event for industry professionals, investors and leaders attracted by the mining opportunities on the African continent. The 2024 edition of Indaba Mining promises once again to be a strategic forum for the discussions and decision-making that are essential to the development of the African mining sector.
