Libye : Saipem obtient un contrat d'un milliard de dollars pour le projet d'utilisation du gaz de Bouri

Italian offshore engineering and construction company Saipem has won a new contract with Mellitah Oil & Gas BV Libyan Branch, a consortium formed by the National Oil Corporation of Libya and Eni North Africa, for the development of the Bouri Gas Utilization Project (BGUP), worth around $1 billion.

Saipem is to modernize the platforms and installations of the Bouri gas field, which lies at a water depth of between 145 and 183 meters off the Libyan coast.

The contract covers the engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) of a 5,000-ton gas recovery module (GRM) on the existing DP4 offshore facility, as well as the laying of 28 km of pipelines linking DP3, DP4 Platforms and Sabratha.

The main lifting operations will be carried out by the semi-submersible crane vessel Saipem 7000.
