Gas development is set to bring great joy to the Senegalese people. The FPSO from China is due to arrive in Senegal in July 2023, a decisive step in Senegal's gas development.
After numerous trials with satisfactory results, the vessel is expected to arrive in the port of Dakar, where a large ceremony is planned to allow the public to discover the vessel in July before it sails to the Senegalo-Mauritanian platform. The vessel will be responsible for both gas production and storage.
With a capacity for 140 people, the vessel is 270 m long, 54 m wide and 31.5 m deep. The vessel will be able to process up to 500 million cubic meters of gas, 2,300,000 cubic meters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in its first year, and could double that capacity in two years.
Pour rappel le démarrage de la production du gaz est attendu dans la dernière trimestre de cette année.
