Senegal: Energy Capital & Power announces new dates for MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021
Energy Capital & Power is proud to announce that the highly anticipated MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 Conference and Exhibition will take place in Dakar, Senegal on 16 , -17 , December 2021. Representing the region, while uniting Africa and global players in Senegal, the conference will be key to securing investments, reaffirming cross-border partnerships, and ushering the region into a new era of accelerated energy sector growth.
Taking place under the high patronage of H.E. Macky Sall, President of Senegal - who will open the highly anticipated conference - and in partnership with the Ministry of Oil and Energy, COS Petrogaz, Petrosen and various U.S. and Canadian energy industry associations, MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 proudly represents the first and only regional energy event in Senegal.
Under the theme "A New Wave of Investment," the conference focuses on improving the flow of capital and accelerating the development of small and large-scale development projects in the region. By promoting and showcasing projects such as the Grand Tortue Ahemyim project; the Sangomar field development; and the Taiba N'Diaye wind farm, the event will introduce regional and international investors to lucrative opportunities throughout the region.
"MSGBC Oil, Gas & Power 2021 marks an important turning point for the region's energy sector. The MSGBC region represents the most promising, not only in Africa, but in the world. With significant discoveries underway, large-scale projects taking off and significant levels of investment directed to the region, regional players are focused on ensuring that energy sector developments reap tangible benefits for host populations," said Sandra Jeque, director of the international conference.
The two-day conference will feature a series of panel discussions on key topics, including the flow of finance and technology to the U.S.; regional cooperation on energy development; cross-border synergies for offshore developments; exploration opportunities; and gas monetization strategies, as well as critical networking functions that aim to advance collaboration within the region.
With speakers including HE Aissatou Sophie Gladima, Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Senegal; Ousmane N'Diaye, Permanent Secretary, COS Petrogaz; Joseph Medou, Director E&P, Petrosen; Mamadou Fall Kane, Deputy Permanent Secretary, COS Petrogaz; Marième Ndoye Decraene, Director General, SAR; and Thierno Seydou Ly, Director of Hydrocarbons, Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, Senegal, the event is well positioned to foster a regionally focused dialogue.
