It was important to specify that the State of Senegal has already put in place a legal and regulatory framework, with all the institutional arrangements to ensure the proper exploitation of oil and gas resources," said Ousmane Cissé during the panel on the management of oil, gas and mining revenues in Senegal.
In addition, returning to the debate on the share of the Senegalese state in the exploitation of resources, Ousmane Cissé recalled that the Senegalese state earns no less than 52% of oil and gas revenues. "We also discussed the state's share. Because a terrible confusion has been made between Petrosen's 10% share in the capital with the contractors. So the 10% are equity stakes while the State of Senegal in the context of this production sharing contract, would find itself at 52% of its oil revenues," he said...
