Senegal: Woodside reveals 2022 expenditure

Woodside a donné des nouvelles sur l’avancement des travaux et de ses dépenses de Sangomar pour la production du pétrole sénégalais.

Meg O'Neil, CEO of Woodside, the majority owner and operator of the Sangomar oil project, has announced that production will begin in late 2023.

"Overall, the project is 77 percent complete and oil production is expected to begin in late 2023.

For this oil project, Woodside also reveals that it spent, during the year 2022, the sum of 1.017 billion $ or 613.8 billion FCFA.

The oil company, which holds an 82% stake in Senegal's largest oil project, adds that seven of the 23 wells are completed. " Subsea installation and development drilling have progressed well. At present, 7 of the 23 planned wells have been completed", she added. The production, storage and offloading vessel (Fpso) is currently being commissioned in Singapore.
