The American Bureau of Business and Commerce, represented by Syed Dilawar, carried out a mission in Libreville with the Minister of Oil and Hydrocarbons, Vincent de Paul Massassa.

The American mission explored investment opportunities for American oil companies. "We discussed investment opportunities and the acceleration of the participation of American companies in the Gabonese economic fabric throughout the chain, from hydrocarbons to the energy transition," explains the American official.

With regard specifically to this aspect, the Americans intend to support research efforts in the field of gas so that Gabon, which has begun its energy transition phase, benefits from the expertise of American companies.

The oil and gas juniors Vaalco Energy and BWE are already active in Gabon, producing 17,000 and 8,000 barrels of oil per day respectively. In addition, the oil services company Schlumberger is also active in the country.
