Increase in Algerian oil exports: strong global demand boosts the sector
During the first quarter of 2023, Algeria recorded a significant increase in its oil exports. This increase is due to the growing global demand for crude oil. According to the Energy Research Unitbased on statistics from the Joint Organizations Data Initiative, Algerian oil exports reached 413 000 barils par jour au cours de cette période.
One of the factors contributing to this increase in exports is the surge in oil prices, which affects several African countries, including Algeria. This galloping inflation is due in particular to the rise in the cost of raw materials, leading to an increase in the price of goods and services.
