Angola: Blue Water wins Yinson contract to transport Agogo FPSO modules
Blue Water recently won a major logistics contract with Yinson Production to oversee the transportation of surface modules for the Agogo FPSO, which will be deployed as part of Azule Energy's development project offshore Angola.
The Agogo floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels will be operated by Yinson Production in the West Hub field on Block 15/06, offshore Angola, on behalf of Azule Energy, a joint venture between BP and Eni.
The contract awarded to Blue Water includes the transport of a total of 15 modules, the heaviest weighing 3,211 metric tons. The first shipment is scheduled for May 2024, and will involve both domestic travel within China and international transport from Indonesia and Vietnam to China.
Jason Goh, Blue Water's Regional Director for Asia, commented, "This collaboration is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at Blue Water. We look forward to leveraging our expertise and providing exceptional logistics solutions."
Yinson Production has been awarded a $5.3 billion contract by Eni Angola to supply and maintain an Agogo FPSO in February 2023. This contract has a firm duration of 15 years from the date of final acceptance of the FPSO, with an option to extend for a further five years.
The Agogo FPSO is scheduled to begin operations in the fourth quarter of 2025 in the West Hub field on Block 15/06, offshore Angola.
