The facility will allow LNG production to increase significantly, Expro said. It is intended to enable additional gas production to support power generation.
Expro Group has won a production solutions contract from Eni for an LNG pre-processing facility in Congo Brazzaville.
The contract will last 10 years. Expro said it expects the contract to generate more than $300 million in revenue.
The facility will have a capacity of 80 million cubic feet per day.
Expro will design, build, operate and maintain an accelerated onshore pre-treatment facility to extract gas from the Marine XII licence. It will build the plant in close proximity to the Litchendjili gas plant. This will supply gas to the adjacent Centrale électrique du Congo (CEC) Pointe-Noire power plant.
The facility will allow LNG production to "increase significantly", said Expro. It is intended to enable additional gas production to support power generation.
The plant will serve as a link to Eni's floating LNG vessels (FLNG).
"We are delighted to be able to extend our long-standing partnership with Eni and our business in West Africa by securing this very prestigious contract."
Expro Regional Chair, Colin Mackenzie
"Our expertise in the design, engineering, delivery, construction, operation and maintenance of modular production plants on a fast-track basis is a recognised differentiator in the market and will further strengthen our presence in the region."
The company's experience, he continued, helps operators access reserves quickly. This means that Expro can "play a key role in supporting Africa's large and growing LNG industry, providing opportunities to sustain secure energy supplies".
